WHO WE ARE:
She Shore Riders is the Sarasota, Florida chapter of Women in the Wind, an international organization for women who ride motorcycles. It began in Toledo, Ohio in 1979 by Becky Brown. It has since grown to almost 70 chapters in the USA and Canada, with 10 chapters in Florida. We have almost 2,000 members around the world and as far away as Australia.
MEETINGS:
She Shore Riders meetings are held the first Monday of the month, at 7:00pm at Papa Nick's Restaurant in Sarasota located at Fruitville Road with social time following the meeting.
WHAT WE DO:
We participate in various events and runs including benefit rides and poker rides sponsored by many motorcycle groups in the area. We also have breakfast rides, lunch rides, parties, activities and other assorted rides all over the region. We are a very active and enthusiastic chapter. Our members come from all walks of life but we have one common interest in motorcycling.
OUR GOAL:
Meet other women with a common interest in riding, encourage new riders, socialize, have fun, raise money for excellent causes, learn safety and minor maintenance, better our riding skills, promote a positive image of women riders RIDE AND HAVE FUN.
