This site is an outgrowth of a long time interest in the 3 dimensional world.  My training is in Industrial Design and Sculpture.  For the past 15 years I have made my living as a database programmer.  I am not a mathematician!

My desire to understand 3-space has led me to experiment with the creation of forms by slicing up a cube.  In the process I have discovered (along with many others I am sure) the relationship of the cube to other regular and semi-regular forms.  I find many of these relationships conceptually beautiful.

While in graduate school I met Dave Brisson, a professor of design at Rhode Island School of Design.  He introduced me to the mysteries of 4-space.  Although I do not claim to be able to visualize 4-space, I am very interested in exploring the projections of 4-space figures into 2-space and 3-space.  Some of these projections are aesthetically pleasing and some reveal relationships with other 3-space forms that are unexpected.

All of the graphic images on these pages have been created by me using various tools including: POV-RAY, Paint Shop Pro, Animation Shop, Cosmo (VRML browser), Lotus Freelance and a basic program for the rotation and display of 4-D figures which I wrote.  The photographic images are of my sculpture, which is also a part of my pursuit of an understanding of 3-space.

It is my desire to share some of this beauty with others.  I hope you enjoy.  (The site map below can be used to navigate the site, or you can use the buttons and links on each page.)
