Cube Edge Truncation |
| Of the 218 possible combinations of truncating the
edges of a cube, 74 are mirror images. This leaves 144 unique possabilities.
The 144 thumbnails below are links to 144 virtual reality models that you
may rotate if you have a VRML viewer. If not you can get

The series begins with a cube with 0 edges removed, and progresses to 1 possibility
of cutting off 1 edge, to 4 possibilities of cutting off 2 edges, to the 9
possibilities of cutting off 3 edges and do forth. The series ends with a
rhombicdodecahedron, the one possibility of cutting off all the edges. The number of
figures in each group is symetrical about the 6 edge truncation group.
