Another recipe for constructing a
Two disected tetrahedra Tetrahedral parts surrounding an Octahedron Rhombic Dodecahedra
Cut 2 Regular Tetrahedra with a slice along each edge to the center. This will produce 4 new very flat tetrahedra. Each of these new tetrahedra has one equilateral triangular face and 3 isoceles triangular faces. Place one of these new tetrahedron opposite each face of an Octahedron. Squeeze all the pieces together and you get a Rhombic Dodecahedron.
