Harlem is a cozy little Dutch market town that is a delight to visit. With a downtown composed of 17th century Dutch buildings (From its golden age as a linen supplier) along canales and a picturesque market square Harlem is a postcard perfect town. It is a nice break after the sensory overload of Amsterdam. Nice architecture, nice ambiance, few must see sights except for the town. A group of girls I met rented bikes and road them to Harlem, which they highly recommend. I was lazy (and was worried about free time) so I road the train which took about half an hour. I hope you enjoy the photos.

Take a note of my photo of the "Red Light District" of Harlem. I saw the building form the main street (about 8 am in the morning) and thought that the red flowers were attractive and would make a good photo. It was not until after I took the picture that I realized that the lights on the "house" were red as well. Therefore, I figured that I had just wandered into the red light district of Harlem. Sure enough, when I was returning to the train station (around 5 ish) I looked down the street and saw the opened Brothel.

I hope you enjoy the photos. Any comments, please E-mail me, .
