"Hello Fellow Dancers!
    Since i will be traveling next Wednesday, November 17th, i have recruited Mady Newfield to treck over from the western suburbs to lead you in a great session of English Country Dance at St. Mark's.   Mady will be using her large collection of recorded music to provide you with a wonderful dance experience.  Come and enjoy!
    Last time, Putting on Aires provided music for these dances:  The First of October, Frances Ann's Delight, Banish Misfortune, Queen's Jig, A Southern Gentleman, De'il Take the Warr, and Cool Breezes.

--It so happens that a video of the Zither Man was recently posted on YouTube.  It was taken at Pinewoods Camp during English Week last August, and it can show us the timing and how the tune was played.  You can see the video of the Zither Man:

We dance at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1509 Ridge Ave, at the corner with Grove Street, in Evanston, IL. All dances are walked through and prompted. Come with or without a partner. Wear comfortable shoes. Cost is $5 and we dance from 8 PM to 10 PM (ish).  Live music every other time* by Putting on Aires  (POA).
Near dates in 2010:  Nov 17, Dec 1* & 15.
