"Hello Dancers!
There was a report on NPR which stated that time seems to go faster as we age. It has only been a week since we danced last, and in another short week we will dance again at St. Marks! Come out to keep yourself warm and enjoy some more English Country Dancing with friends. I will be introducing some more Fried Herman dances to increase our repertoire with music from our large collection of CD's.
I will teach a dance workshop for ECD at the University of Chicago Folk Festival on Sunday, starting at 11 AM and at 12:30 PM Barbara Cool will teach a Scottish workshop. There are lots of other free activities/workshops on Sat and Sun, Feb 13 and 14th. It will be worth the ride down to Hyde Park, even if you don't take in the wonderful music concert each night!
Go to Fermilab ECD this coming Sunday! I believe that their band will be playing!

We dance at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 1509 Ridge Ave, at the corner with Grove Street, in Evanston, IL. All dances are walked through and prompted. Come with or without a partner. Wear comfortable shoes. Cost is $5 and we dance from 8 PM to 10 PM (ish). Live music every other time by Putting on Aires (POA).
Dates in 2010: Feb 10 & 24*, March 10 & 24*, April 7 & 21*..*POA
