LEAGUE ELECTIONS TO BE HELD
AT UPCOMING PAYOUT MEETING
We will have our payout
party/tournament on March 4th, 2012, 12pm, at Sonnys Tavern. We will also
hold our league elections at that time. All positions are due to be
elected, including: League Operator (schedules, weekly stats, verifying
eligibility for each player registering for Regionals, correspondence and
sending league information to Western BCA and BCAPL, and other miscellaneous
duties); Secretary (taking minutes at league meetings); and League President (in
charge of league elections). We will also be appointing members to
our Player Representative, Grievance, and Ratings Committee. These
committees will be appointed at the meeting.
All positions and committee tenures
will begin on June 1st, 2012. Elected positions last for 2 years, all
committees are for one year.
If you are interested in running for
any of the positions, or would like to nominate someone, please send that
nomination to darcy@lcpl.net. All
candidates for League Operator and Secretary will be asked to submit a letter
through email to Darcy no later than February 26th detailing why they feel they
are the best candidate.
The deadline for ballot nominations
is Sunday, February 26th. If you are not going to be able to vote in
person, you may fill out an Absentee
Ballot and either email/deliver it to Darcy, or send it in with your stats.
It must reach Darcy by March 3rd. While voting at the meeting will be by
ballot and anonymous, absentee ballots must have a name on it to ensure against
double voting. It will not be counted if it does not have a name on it.
If you have any questions, please let me know and good luck to all.
League Operator nominees have written a letter to the players explaining why
they feel they are the best candidate. Please take the time to review each
letter (click on the candidate' name).
At this time, the following (in alphabetical order) are running for:
