CONGRATULATIONS TO RYAN HUNTOON!!
Congratulations to our new League Operator, Ryan Huntoon! We had a great
turnout for our meeting and election, thank you all for taking the time to show
up and participate. We would like to thank Jena Angerstein for all her
hard work for the past two years, and we wish her the best in her future
endeavors. Ryan' term doesn't technically start until June 1st, but he
will be handling the 9-ball team signups and schedule, so please refer all those
questions to him. He can be reached at 541-517-2076.
GEORGE HARRIS CELEBRATION OF LIFE
There will be a celebration of life Saturday, January 21st, for George Harris. George passed away in his sleep on December 8th, 2011. There will be a scotch doubles tournament and a UO Duck quilt raffle with all proceeds going to help with final expenses. For more information, please contact Noti Pub.
ALEX STROUP
We were saddened to learn that Alex lost his battle with cancer on May 28th, 2011. Dayle Stroup and family want to convey their sincere appreciation for all the support and prayers they have received. Alex was loved by many and will be sincerely missed. There are no services planned, but donations can be made to his fundraiser account at http://goo.gl/FRA4m. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
8-BALL SEASON IS HERE!
RULE CHANGE: All players need to be aware of the change in the scratch on the break rule. If a scratch occurs on the break, it is ball-in-hand ANYWHERE on the table for the incoming player.
Women's Teams: If you are planning on playing at Regionals or Nationals, please be aware that they have changed the women's team format to a 4-player roster. You can still have all your players, but the score sheets will be designed for 4 players.
CELEBRATION OF LIFE FOR MARTHA HARTSELL
A Celebration of Life will be held this Saturday, July 17th, from 12-6pm at Elijah Bristow park on Hwy 58. If anyone needs directions, please call/email me. The family will be providing pulled pork and is asking for others to bring chips/other snack and your own beverages.
For those of you who have not heard yet, Martha lost her short but very difficult fight with cancer on July 9, 2010. Our prayers and thoughts go out to her family and friends. Martha was an incredible person with an avid love for the game. She will be remembered and missed.
JENA ANGERSTEIN TAKES OVER AS LEAGUE OPERATOR JUNE 1, 2010
iIt's official! Jena (Beans) Angerstein was elected our new league operator at the player meeting on February 28th, 2010. Her official term starts June 1, 2010, but she is handling all 9-ball season information.
Congratulations to Jena, and a very big thank you to Darcy Williams for all of her hard work the last 6 years to bring the league to where it is now. Darcy was elected League President, so she isn't going far, and Ronda Clark was elected League Secretary.
8-BALL REGIONAL RESULTS
We hope that those of you who attended the Western BCA regional event in March enjoyed yourselves! Congratulations to Roger Goodman for making it into the Master's and Brandon Crum, Ray Sibert and Lonnie Varner for working their way into the Open A. Nice job guys!
SANCTIONING FEES INCREASE
SANCTIONING FEES HAVE GONE UP!!! All players need to be aware that BCAPL (National BCA) has raised their sanction fee from $10 to $15. Emerald Valley BCA players pay sanction fees to two organizations, Western BCA and BCAPL. Western BCA has kept their sanction fees at $10. All players need to pay a total of $25 in sanctioning fees on their first night of play or their scores will NOT count.
8-BALL 2009 REGIONAL RESULTS
Congrats to our League Operator, Darcy Moss, for placing 3rd place in the Women' Open and moving on up to the Masters. Everyone did a great job!!
9-BALL 2008 REGIONAL TOURNAMENT
We would like to offer our congratulations to Bonnie Mahaffey for winning the Women's Open and Mike Tierney for winning the Men's Open B. Both of these players fought hard and played numerous hours and matches to acquire their wins. Congrats to both!!!
RESULTS FOR 2008 8-BALL REGIONALS
Everyone did a fabulous job at the recent 8-ball Regional Tournament. Congratulations to the following players who have moved up in ranking: Stan Ottinger, Jr., Bob Robbins and Jack Kjelde have moved up to Open A, and Cindy Rosenthal has moved up to Masters.
MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR BOB POWELL - Dec

It is with great sadness that I announce that Bob Powell passed away this last
weekend. Bob was a great pool player and a wonderful friend. He will be missed
by many, and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
His memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 18th, at St. Jude Parish,
4330 Willamette St. in Eugene at 6:30pm.
