Nazi Germany invaded first Poland, then France, than the USSR. The Germans experienced victory after victory, and the people of the conquered nations were subjected to the worst possible treatments: many of them were picked out and shot, other sent to concentration or death camps, and others sent to labor for the Reich. Under Nazi occupation, millions of people perished, and this did not stop in Europe. Across the world, in China, the Japanese invaders were submitting Allied prisoners to death marches and random executions. Only with the end of the war in 1945, did this waterfall of horrors stop.
