Diff Guards

Ford 8.8 rear

I got rid of my plastic 8.8 cover and replaced it with a stock steel cover. At the same time I decided to make a diff guard to protect the gears. It is made from 3/8" thick formed steel bar and solid 3/4" hot rolled steel round bar.

The TTB housing is pretty stout in its stock form however some extra protection for the aluminum diff is needed. I fabbed up this guard to add a little more protection to the diff as well as add more protection to the front of the housing. This is made from 1/4" plate and 3/4" hot rolled solid steel round bar.
