Roof Rack

One of my very first MIG welding projects and Explorer related project was making a roof rack. I got some 1"x1"x1/16" scrap steel and got to work. I used the factory roof rack rails for mounting the rack. The rack holds a high lift jack, a shovel and an axe. It is 6" tall. It has tabs for reverse lights and forward facing lights. This rack has held up well for years of use however plans are in the works for a new lower profile pre-runner inspired roof rack.
