Timeless Hard-shell Gourds

Before the mastery of ceramics, cultures around the world utilized hard-shell gourds. Not only a great natural resource for vessels, gourds have fired the artistic imagination of man for centuries.

From ancient times up until current day, artisans have found the hard, woody gourd the perfect medium to express themselves. Carved, burned (pyroengraved), painted, each piece becomes a durable, functional and most of all, beautiful meld of natural and manmade art.
