ur ethics statement and informational section applies to the whole of our website, which includes our award program.

• At all times we shall act in the best interests of the breed which includes breeding, courtesy when dealing with the general public and fellow breeders and sportsmanship.
• All dogs will be kept free of internal and external pests, be provided with a clean, safe, sanitary living space and be provided with love and care.
• The love we provide shall be to properly socialize our dogs and we will keep no more dogs than we can properly and consistently socialize.
• Our dogs will be upheld to abide with all rules and regulations of the AKC in public gatherings, at shows and trials and in our neighborhood.
• We shall not breed litters for profit. Our intention is to better the breed and will only sell puppies which are free from genetic defects. Only those dogs which better the breed will be included in our stock.
• Our puppy contract provides additional information which insures that placements are into loving homes.
• No claims will be made in advertising which are untrue or can be misconstrued by a reader which includes listing winning offspring and our breed stock.
• Everyone will receive a reply concerning our Heatherway Shelties Kennel or our award program within two weeks. All inquiries by persons over the age of eighteen will be acknowledged upon receipt by myself.
• I shall not list any personal information within my website, screen shot, picture or other information furnished through either my guest book, email or nomination form without your written consent.

Informational

Privacy statement:

The only information collected by us from our web site is information placed in our guest book. We receive notice upon an entry and delete any postings which may not apply to a family. We always return a visit and this is the only extent to which we use this information.

Our Puppy Contract is mandatory.

Copyright statement:

All pictures and graphics contained in our web site are of our own creation. In the event that at a later date we include any from a source other than ourselves, we will give full credit and always obtain and have on file written permissions.

Our motto is simple: If it is not ours we do not use it, except by having a written permission on file.

Decorative lettering and backgrounds are graciously furnished by Mostly Medieval. The items offered for download at Mostly Medieval are what remains of the previous sister-site, Ars Priscus, which originated in 2002 and was reabsorbed into the main site in 2007. The most popular items have been retained and new items, such as a broader selection of Desktop Wallpapers, have been added.

Rules as to age differ among the nations of our world, but we always apply a higher standard since our web site resides in the United States and age eighteen or older is our standard. Guestbook entries not suitable for persons under age eighteen will be removed.

Heatherway Shelties respects your privacy and assures you that any and all information given to this site by e-mail or any other way will be kept confidential and will not be sold or otherwise disclosed to any third parties, with the exception of information which shall be furnished to our international judges (Award Program) then only to the extent that they may adequately evaluate the web site for consideration of our award or assisting you in sheltie rescue.

By submitting an application for the award or making a guest book entry or sending an email you acknowledge that you have read and fully understand our privacy statement.
