tar has had one litter of four children. Both Petey and Chloe were in that litter and live with us and are progressing quite well in agility and obedience. Skyler was oversize and found a loving
home as a companion dog and was neutered.
Stars first litter is shown below.

Dam is Golden Moonlight Sonata and Sire is Lakewoods Rich and Famous. Star and puppies are doing fine. Robin is in Colorado showing .

Four weeks of age and just in time to enjoy Christmas having grown to the fur children toddler age.

Another Christmas picture with an adult friend about their own size.

At five weeks of age our fur children are really under foot and scampering all over the place

One of the few times a five month old puppy will stay still, at least for awhile.

At six weeks of age more obstacles have been added as training tools.

The sides leading to the slide were blocked and the first one over it got a treat.

Even at this early age, Shetland Sheep dogs develop agility skills, so when they reach new fur owners, they are house broken and have the basic agility and obedience skills, when trained during the first ten weeks.

Magic was the smallest of Star's litter and found a home and vocation as a therapy dog.
A second litter which Star had resulted in one still born little girl. Afterward she was neutered because she was so distraught.
Chloie who was Petey's litter mate had four children and one did not survive. There were three boys and a girl in her litter. The boys are Connor, Kyle and Magic. Crickett the one female was given a home and has excelled in agility, obedience and rally.
Chloe's children who live with us are (Connor) Heatherway Show Me The Money and (Kyle) Heatherway Dress For Success.

Puppies at one week of age.

The puppies are now two weeks old. But it is hard to get all of them in one picture even at this age with their momma carrying them all over the house.

Another picture at two weeks of age.
About the time this picture of Connor was being placed on the web site I heard my wife yell
"Connor is that you in the trash can?" Then with those soulful eyes and tail wagging, he almost said "No not me, its Petey." But he is a gentle "giant" among our Shetland Sheepdog family although is
not but about an inch over standard. Alas, Connor has been neutered, which was not difficult for him at a young age and only after he had stopped growing. This was sad for us because
he was an excellent youngster, except for his height.
You would think that he would take to the teeter and dog walk with no hesitation, but alas we are working toward his confidence and he is so sweet.

Kyle has the best potential to be our conformation kid on the block. He is also a tiny terror when it comes to attacking our iron gate in the courtyard and the glass door, bouncing like a ball off both.
Chloe's second litter on April 30, 2006 came when she had been treated with antibiotics for torn foot pads and resulted in three pups which did not survive birth and one which lived but a few days. The little 3.5 ounce color headed white girl held so much promise to be an addition to our kennel foundation, but our dreams were not fulfilled.
