ertification as a potential Therapy Dogs by TDI,
requires that dogs and handlers must pass the CGC Test. The CGC test of TDI should not be confused with the CGC certification of AKC. These are two entirely different certifications. The Therapy Dogs
International, Incorporated tests are given by special qualified, certified Evaluators. These Evaluators all have years of experience working with dogs and experience with Therapy Dogs. Evaluators
must submit a detailed resume of their dog and Therapy Dog activities to TDI and have to abide by TDI's rules and guidelines.

Magic was the smallest of Chloie's litter and found a home and vocation as a therapy dog.
Delta Society certified both Magic as a Therapy Dog to work with his handler as a TEAM. which includes the Pet Partners Aptitude Test (PPAT).
Many teams do fail this test the first time that they take it, especially young dogs or dogs and handlers that have not taken obedience classes. To work as a TEAM the dog and handler should do so, without the use of harsh verbal or leash corrections to maintain good behavior. All interactions between the handler and dog should be calm, gentle and supportive.

Hello, I am American/Canadian Champion Duluta Fist Full of Dollars, ROM, CD, TDI, CGC and my mom Susan Pate helped me earn my conformation titles humans also call me Chase. My second mom and family calls me the Poo Dog.
I had been retired from conformation about a year when my second mom Carolyn Lancaster and I certifeid TDI.
We also earned my CD and CGC titles, which just goes to show all the youngsters in conformation that there is still plenty to do after finishing the circuit.
Now that I am fifteen years old in 2006, I am not as spry as in younger years, but just let those other family fur members get in my space and I can show my stuff. Snuggles who is my mix breed sister is a little younger than myself and she can not see too well, so I help her out the door when we go out to eat. Being the gentleman, I only try and snitch some of her brown rocks when she is not looking.
I love both of my moms-Susan Pate and Carolyn Lancaster and follow my human father around where ever he goes and love riding in his car too.
