Downtown Walking Tours to be Developed
A public meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at the Augusta Public Library Auditorium, 902 Greene Street. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss a Historic Preservation Fund grant in the amount of $8,580 to the City of Augusta that is being utilized to develop web-based walking tours of downtown Augusta.

Historic Augusta’s Cotton Ball
Historic Augusta’s Cotton Ball, a tradition in Augusta since 1988, will be held this year on Tuesday, May 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The casual affair will be held in the gardens surrounding the home of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Falcone, located at 3106 Walton Way.
Admission to the Cotton Ball is by current, new or renewing membership in Historic Augusta, Inc., which is open to all who are interested in preserving our city’s historic places. Visit Wilson 150: The Exhibition
a travelling exhibit about Woodrow Wilson's presidency, on display at the Joseph R. Lamar Boyhood Home until May 23, 2008!
Wilson 150: The Exhibition, examines our 28th President’s rich legacy on view at the Joseph R. Lamar Boyhood Home in Augusta at 415 Seventh Street now through May 23, 2008. The exhibition was organized by the Woodrow Wilson House, a property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and has been travelling to Woodrow Wilson sites along the east coast. The exhibition contains documents and artifacts relating to President Woodrow Wilson including his top hat and gloves, his tennis racquet and golf balls. Tickets to the exhibition are free with paid admission to the Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson.
