Welcome to my Fall 'N Flags Page. The picture of the Great Northern Empire Builder in its SKY BLUE livery capture my attention one fine evening as I browsed my hobby store in Sacramento, California. I couldn’t believe my eyes! A real BLUE Train! (this was long before Thomas and his colorful friend became popular). My optic nerves were stimulated beyond belief. After my long term exposure to Southern Pacific’s Battleship Grey and Red, I had almost come to believe that no other colors existed in my limited railroad world.Alas, the Sky Blue paint is long gone, as are many other fine paint schemes. This Web Page primary consists of my collection of pictures of the Great Northern Railway but I have other "Fallen Flags" as well. Enjoy! Don |
