The
Davidson Family Tree
Last updated 23 Nov 2005
Hi! Welcome to the Davidson Family Tree,
where you'll find genealogical information about not only the Davidson family,
but the Atkinson, Claassen, Hentschel, Jakob, McNair, Murchie, Miller, Schindler,
Sickles, Walkinshaw, and many other families as well.
I've removed the places and dates for all living individuals because, unfortunately, there are unscrupulous people who browse the web looking for identities to steal. But you can still find your name on the tree and see who your ancestors were.
There's a lot of information missing, like bios, notes, and sources for many people. Someday, I'll get around to entering all of that. But, in the meantime, you can have fun navigating through the tree and learning a little bit about your ancestors and relatives. Feel free to email me if you spot any mistakes or omissions.
One of the more interesting features of the tree is the Sources page. Here you'll find the text of a several very old documents relating to the Sickles, Miller, and Walkinshaw families. I had to remove the images of the Sickles and Miller family Bibles, due to space limitations.
This tree was created using a program called GedHTree, which takes a generic genealogy file, in a format called GEDCOM, and turns it into a series of HTML web pages. I still had to do a bit of tweaking, but the program saved me a lot of time.
This tree wouldn't have been possible without the help of a lot of relatives, including the late Robert Miller and his daughter Aileen McGrath, Jim and Laura Schnell, Janice Kinsler Smith, Willie Miller, Sandy McCaskie, Garry De Redder and many others who generously provided me with data on themselves and their families. (Sorry if I've missed naming anyone, but the list is pretty long.) My mother, Evelyn Sickles Davidson, got me started on this project and did much of the initial research. I just wish she were still here to see how much it's grown.
Okay, that's enough reading for now. Let's go straight to the Davidson Family Tree!
