Here is a list of websites that may be of interest to current as well as prospective
members. The first group is a list of philatelic sites that may be useful in learning more
about philately in general or to find Ethiopia material for your collection. The second
group is a list of websites that contains Ethiopia-related subject matter that may be of
interest to current as well as prospective members. These lists are far from comprehensive
with literally hundreds if not thousands of other websites that fall within the two
categories. We have screened the lists and have identified some of what we feel are the
more useful sites. We are always open to suggestions for new sites to add to the list.
- Doig's Ethiopia Stamp Catalogue. Ken has been concerned with the number
of fake stamps that have appeared on eBay internet auctions as well as elsewhere in the
stamp market. Hence, to help better inform both buyers and sellers of Ethiopian material
he's started creating his site. His plan is to provide details about each issue that will
include illustrations of the stamps (and overprints) and where appropriate how to
differentiate between the original stamp and any fake or reprint. He is also providing
details of the cancelations of Ethiopia both before the Italian Occupation and postwar.
Diagrams of the cancels are being provided as well as scans of actual usages on cover.
While Ken has just recently started this endeavor, he has already uploaded much material
to his site and it is well worth a visit. The address for his site is http://doig.net/EthiHome.html. As the site
evolves he is interested in any feedback you might have on how the site is organized, the
accuracy of the information presented, and additional information that should be
presented. Ken can be contacted by email at email@example.com.
- Michael Rogers, Inc. EPS member Mike Rogers is heavily involved in both
collecting and selling Ethiopia. He acquired several of the large "collection"
lots from the John Boksenbom collection included in the Matthew Bennett auction in
February 2000. Since then he has been an active buyer of Ethiopia and has picked up
considerable quantities of Ethiopia material from a variety of sources. Part of the
material he buys goes into his personal collection and the rest he sells through his
public auctions and mail sales as well as his Ethiopia/Africa price lists. While Mike is
very knowledgeable of Ethiopia he relies on experts from the EPS to evaluate any
questionable material, such as the early overprints, to make sure that what he sells is
accurately described. Mike's website address is http://www.michaelrogersinc.com.
Once you arrive at his site go to the "Auctions" link for his public auctions
and mail sale.
- Daryl Reiber's Ethiopian Postal History Web site. EPS member

interesting aspects of Ethiopian philately. His website is titled "Dary
Reiber's Ethiopian Stamps and Postal History." The site can be accessed at http://www.postage-due.com/index.html .
Many interesting items are on display making the site well worth the time of
checking it out. Daryl plans to continue adding to the site as time permits so keep
checking in from time to time.
