Over the years I've begun a large number of
software projects, many now defunct, but here are
a few of my current ones.
- bandwidth, a benchmark for Linux to
determine a system's memory bandwidths, including primarily
L2 cache, main memory, and framebuffer memory.
-
xviewraw, which is somewhat-broken
a Xlib-based viewer and converter for RAW photographs,
based on David Coffin's dcraw code.
- font2bdf.c= Linux console font to BDF converter.
- Anglify, which is my
program for translating various languages to English.
-
Table,
which is an unfinished set of command-line programs
to treat HTML tables like database tables.
Tables can be in files or piped.
- xpm-to-psf
converter from font character images to PSF font format,
included with MonoConsole font.
- My BDF Adobe font to PSF Linux console font converter,
which lets you use common X fonts like Courier 12 point on the console.
- My free Windows and MSDOS software.
- Econ: an economic system simulator.
Good software that I didn't write
- Ted, a very decent
WYSIWYG word processor for RTF files; requires about 8 megs of RAM to run.
- Dillo, a web browser, also requires
8 megs of RAM to run.
Linux-related utilities
These help in installing Linux on older machines.
I'm putting them here as a safeguard against the eventuality of
their disappearing everywhere else.
Windows-related utilities
Likewise, I'm putting these here as a safeguard against the eventuality of
their disappearing everywhere else.
