I bought this JetSki used because Just Ducky doesn´t work too well as a tow boat for people who want to go out on skis or tubes.
I have a Towdster, which is a towing device for pulling a ski behind a boat. It consists of shock code in a PVC tube with a floating jacket supporting the tube. Snap hooks on each side make attaching it to the boat easy. I found that using one Towdster attached to the towing ring on either the port or starboard side of the boat works well for towing the `ski. I towed the ski around quite a bit last summer and it really has worked well. I was able to tow the ski through the Point Pleasant Canal without any problems. This allowed me to anchor the boat off the beach and take the Ski out for a ride.
So far, I´ve not discovered any problems in towing this PWC. Some PWCs need to have the cooling water lines closed so that the engine doesn´t fill with water. A friend neglected to do that and filled the entire engine on his SeaDoo with water.
I´m looking at getting a new Polaris MSX 150 this summer. The Polaris rep at the New York City boat show said that they are still planning on a early summer 2003 release for the MSX. |
