Finally, a book for conservative atheists!

About 3 years ago I began writing down my thoughts on religion and politics and posting them to this web site.  Before long I decided to capture them in a more permanent form for my immediate family and friends.  I wondered how my grandchildren and great grandchildren could ever know how I thought about matters of spirituality and politics.  We are all very closely related to our great grandparents but scarcely know a thing about their thoughts and lives.  It is through this book that I hope to impart on them some historical knowledge, wisdom and perspective to help them grow and form their own opinions on life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

What's more is that as I posted my thoughts on this web site people began to visit and say they too felt alienated by typical atheist and conservative outlets.  The feedback, input and encouragement I received from many individuals around the world provided me the final spark to formalize my thoughts and get them in print.

FROM THE PUBLISHER

What is a conservative atheist? Isn't that an oxymoron? Well, Frank Cress thinks that it is a valid position and, in fact, thinks he can convince you that the conservative atheist position is most rational of all. Come along for discussion on a wide variety of subjects ranging from abortion to gay rights, from raising atheist children to software development techniques. If you are an atheist with socially conservative values you will probably find most of your thoughts expressed here--maybe even for the first time ever in print. Even if you disagree with some or most of the material you'll find this effort to be thought provoking and unique in presentation.

About the Author:
Frank Cress is a 42 year old Illinois native and U.S. Air Force veteran who now lives with his family in Northwest Indiana. He is in the software development profession and is currently a Director of Quality Assurance for a Chicago, Illinois based firm. This is his first publication.
