Christmas 2008
We first celebrated Christmas at home and then drove to Michigan to spend the holiday visiting Gail's parents and her sister's family. This gives us three opportunities to open presents.

As usual, we led the neighborhood in inflatables. We spent
Christmas Eve at a neighborhood party, opened
presents Christmas morning, and then
left for Michigan about 9:30 am. As expected, there was little traffic. |

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Troy (which has a really nice breakfast buffet), and visited with Gail's parents and her sister's family including Gail's new grandnephew every day. We opened more presents on the 26th. Her parents lost power for a couple of days because of a wind storm, but fortunately they have a portable generator. There was the traditional expedition to Hunter House in Birmingham, and an afternoon at the movies. We found two more inflatables at a good price. |
