Wednesday, February 4th ...

There was no major touring event scheduled for today.  Lynda Donley had coordinated a tour of the Frank Ghery designed Biodiversity Museum that is under construction at the causeway end of Amador.  Those that did not visit the Museum mainly did the obligatory shopping.  We again ate at the Balboa Yacht Club and said our (temporary) Good-Byes ... we will again meet in Park City, Utah at our 45th Reunion over Labor Day.

Located on Balboa Avenue close to Fourth of July Ave.

Thursday, February 5th ...

Several of us who had decided to stay through the weekend went to Boquete.  After flying into Volcan, we drove up to the El Panamonte Hotel in Boquete.  Unusually stormy weather had been in the area for a few days causing a great deal of wind damage.  We had windier and cooler than typical weather though that didn't bother our enjoying the town or the hotel.  El Panamonte Hotel has a world-known chef.  We had a wonderful stay in this lovely hotel.  Boquete is a great location to just relax between touring a coffee plantation or taking a well-guided bird-watching excursion.  The seldom seen Quetzal is in the area and is a highly regarded subject for the serious bird watcher.
