FEW is a private, non-profit organization established in 1968.  Our purpose is to promote the equality and advancement of women in Federal government.  For information on the FEW National perspective, visit www.few.org

The Great Lakes Chapter of FEW, established in1974, is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, MI.  Members of our chapter work together in committees on projects related to our purpose.   We sponsor training programs, working in coalition with the American Federation of Government (AFGE) Local 1658 and the local Office of Equal Opportunity, and meet regularly with Detroit Arsenal leadership to share the concerns of women in our workforce.

Members of the Great Lakes Chapter of FEW have the opportunity to experience working with a group of professional women and men dedicated to taking action to end sex discrimination and to increase job opportunities for women at the Detroit Arsenal.  They have the opportunity to develop personal skills - leadership skills, communication skills and technical skills.  They have increased access to information they need for career planning, and have the opportunity to network, meet a mentor, or become a mentor for someone else.

Membership is open to all Federal and DC government employees and to any other person supporting the goals and objectives of FEW.  Great Lakes Chapter Annual dues - $35.00
