The Friendship Force of
Northern Colorado

OUR CORNER OF THE WORLD

Members of our club live in the north central part of Colorado in a dynamic area located midway between the capitol cities of Denver in Colorado, and Cheyenne in Wyoming.   Most of our members live in Ft. Collins, Loveland, or Greeley.   Within an hour's drive of our cities are 4 other active Friendship Force Clubs.  To our west, in the Rocky Mountains, is Estes Park; to the north is Cheyenne, Wyoming and there are 2  chapters to the south in the Denver metropolitan area.

   Ft. Collins, the largest city
in our
service area, population about 120,000.

Greeley, with a population of about 90,000, supports an active life style and is known for the largest 4th of July western show in the country (The Greeley Stampede).

There are many fine museums in our cities.  This one is Centennial Village in Greeley.  Old buildings have been moved here to depict the area's cultural heritage and immigrant traditions.

Loveland, a town of about 61,000, has a significant and thriving arts community. Many sculptors are setting up studios here to take advantage of both the foundry and the supportive atmosphere.

The cities in our area have lots of recreational trails for biking/hiking and attractive neighborhoods and campuses.

We live on The Front Range (near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains) surrounded by farm land.  Lakes and mountain streams are quite near.
The countryside is very pleasant.

CSU in Ft. Collins is the largest university in our area.

It is a comprehensive university with over 24,000
students from every state and 95 foreign countries.

Another state university, The University of Northern Colorado, is in Greeley.

UNC has about 12,000 students.
