Nebula
A Nebula is a large gas and dust cloud. The gases are mainly Hydrogen & Helium. Some Nebula are remnants of a past supernova (where a star explodes). Others are gases given off by the star they surround. Other Nebula are left over gases & dust from the "Big Bang" which took place about 15 billion years ago. The ultraviolet energy given off by the center star or nearby star causes the gases to glow similar to a neon sign.
