We are amateur musicians in the South San Francisco Bay are who play the nigunim of the shtetlach -- the melodies from the little towns of the old country. It is "Fiddler on the Roof" type of music, but the real, echtige thing, not ersatz broadway
If you're planning a simcha and thinking of hiring professional musicians, do so. We don't want to take work away from honest musicians (or even dishonest musicians). But if you aren't thinking of having anyone -- we're better.
No charge to play for synagogues, retirement homes or the like. We charge $200 for the two of us to play for two hours (or more) for a party in the South Bay area (more if we have to travel.) And we want you to feed us. Zvi will do a strolling fiddler gig but asks that a donation to the Israeli Philoharmonic Orchestra be made in return.

If you love the music and would like to join, send me e-mail . Enthusiasm is more imporant than talent (though talent doesn't hurt either.) If you want a lot of money and nubile youths of your gender preference throwing themselves at your feet - we can't help you. But if you love Jewish soul music - we're your band.
