We started the week off getting into Chattam late (after midnight) but made up for it the next
day by shopping in Chattam. First stop was Debbie's old memory, "The Captains Table"
which was still there after all those years, and was still serving up grub and memories
to other families. A quick rest in front of the 'Impudent Oyster' while checking in with
the kids. We also say a bit of 'RiverCity' (no Harold Hill though)
and enjoyed a small town concert in the middle of the town's park. A Dogwood Tree caught
Marcia's eye so we added the shots.
We stayed at the Captain's House Inn and it was REALLY good.
A little traveling took us to Nassett Beach with dunes all around.
One of the many lighthouses we saw but we never really went IN to one. A bit windy for Marcia
but she looks great. A quick juant up to 'P-Town' where we're at the end of the Cape.
Another day of driving and shopping had us run into 'Mr Toad'. As we continued on to the
beaches on
the cape side (really warm). Couldn't pass up Sundae School with an old fasion
ice cream truck (check
out the liscence plate). We then went to "Music In The Park"
which happens every Friday night during the
summer, complete with a band playing in the Gazebo.
The next day we found one of our most favorite shops. It was a converted barn/garage, complete with a
model railroad and maze of bushes in the backyard. And of course, it wouldn't be shopping in a man
didn't have his toy with him. Marcia loved the main house, very Cape looking. We continued on our
trek and made a quick stop at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis where LOTS of stars have performed (we
thought Fiona should get a job there).
A stop at another beach for a quick lunch where folks were para-surfing (only way I can describe it).
We also got into all of the beaches without paying for we told them we only wanted to stop for 30
minutes to check the place out - very nice people. Next was a 'Pit Stop' and of course a quick smell of
another tree in the area.
We did eventually make it to Boston where Hank is seen sitting on the rabbit in Copley Square which is
the finish area of the Boston Marathon. One of the most taken photos is the reflection of the church in Copley Sq against this 'glass' skyscraper.
What's a trip to Boston without a shot OF Boston from the Harbor (the British are Coming!).
OLD IRONSIDES - nothing more need be said. This shot and the next
one are for you Jillian. At Fanual Hall we ran into a bunch of 'Mad Cows'.
And then the ending shot of our tour, Where Everyone Knows Your Name.
