Is Kiwanis a secret organization?

Not at all! There are no private rituals. Kiwanis makes its activities known and public awareness of Kiwanis is sought because it increases support for our service efforts.

Who benefits from Kiwanis work?

Most of our work benefits the youth of our community, with some financial support going to national and international youth projects. Some examples of local projects are: scholarships to high school graduates, sponsoring Key Clubs and Builders Clubs in the schools, producing the annual Fishers Easter Egg hunt, donating funds to Riley Children's Hospital, youth sports team sponsorships, and many more.

How does Kiwanis pay for these projects?

We have several fund raising activities each year, such as a golf tournament, raffles, Kids Karnivale at the Fishers Renaissance Faire and others.

How much does it cost to join?

An initiation fee of just $53 plus annual dues of $130. Because ALL of the funds that we raise in the community are used for our service projects, we must use the dues for administrative expenses. For more information on joining, click here.

What happens at the meetings?

Our meetings usually last no more than one hour. We frequently have speakers on a wide range of topics, and we also use this time to select and plan our service projects and fund raising. Any member can propose a service project or fund raiser.
