| Beginning in the Spring of 1982, we hosted an
Easter Egg Hunt for the Children of Fishers. The club covers all costs for
this annual event. The first few years the hunt was held at the Fishers
Elementary School, then the Fishers United Methodist Church. As the Fishers
park, later named in honor of Town Councilor Roy Holland developed, the hunt
was moved there. The hunt is always scheduled the day before Easter and is
attended by many hundreds of children up to second grade. The club, along
with help for the HSE High School
Key Club, fills over 11,000 plastic eggs with
candy and a special prizes.
Our club views this as one of its most important community projects. |
