GIS Programmer

n     Responsible for GIS data management of a vast system of diverse data spanning the U.S, and stored in various methods for automated data retrieval. Including importing data to a standard format for in-house, and quality control.

n     Spatial analysis; to understand business trends and implications, for studying regional geographic quirks, for overlays to determine how features interact in the environment for client applications.

n     Cartography, custom mapmaking projects for multiple clients.

n     Create and maintain production programs written in Arc Macro Language and some UNIX scripting used for automated report generation systems.

n     Oversee digitizing department for quality control in their custom report generation.

n     Assist in GIS department computer maintenance, GIS – Web application stability, and other related tasks.

n     Work with Visual Basic and Map Objects for in-house GIS applications.

n     Supervise and train junior GIS staff members.

n     Evaluate and recommend technologies to help in business applications.
