HI.  I'M CHRIS.  I was born in eastern Ohio in 1970 and grew up in a very creative family.  I was always encouraged to express myself and have used many avenues to do so.  Pencil drawings (sketch pad and a Fort Ti. No 2), music (piano, guitar, vocal, writing) and, of course, photography.  I began with snapshots with an old box camera given to me by my grandmother when I was twelve.  No earth shattering imagery, shots of my cat up the street, my brother and my grandmother arm in arm in our meager front yard on the side of the Ohio Valley.  In 1985, after the steel mills closing, my father found work in Delaware and here I am.  I have been a Delawarean ever since and have lived in the town of Milton along the Broadkill River since 2003 when I married my wife, Faith.  We live here with our two wonderful children, Emily (see, you're first for once) and Ethan.
   I have shot 35mm for years, mostly with my old Minoltas.  Over the years I have used the following MD mount Minolta 35mm cameras.  XG-1, XG-M, X-370, XE-7, XD-11, XG-A, sr-T101.  I have had other cameras aswell.  Mamiya M645j, Mamiya RB67, Zeiss Ikon Contina III, Homemade 4x5 and others.
   I firmly believe in photographic education and have learned a lot about photography.  I will never hesitate to assist another photographer when I am asked a serious question.  My strengths are application of the Zone System for exposure and printing with traditional black and white materials.  Everything I learned I have learned to use on a film camera.  While these principles can be applied to digital photography on-camera I can't be of much help when it comes to digital photography.  Please feel free to contact me with any comments or questions you may have.
