Individualized instruction from experts
The experience at FAS is further enhanced with individualized instruction from experts in various aspects of flying and the TBM. Existing schools rely on one instructor for the entire course, while at FAS we have one expert for the VFR stick and rudder, another for the IFR environment, while on the airplane side we have experts for the maintenance and systems. We believe this approach far exceeds any existing training available for the TBM.

Experienced pilots and teachers
It's been several decades since the instructors at Flightline Aerial Services got their private pilot's licenses. This was followed by multiple ratings and tens of thousands of hours of flight time—650 in the TBM alone. But the most experienced pilot in the world is unqualified to instruct others how to do it unless he/she also knows something about teaching. The great strength of Flightline Aerial Services is the fact that we have spent our aviation careers teaching. Our long time experience makes us rather unusual in aviation, a field where most instructors race through a period of instructing to finance their real goal, piloting for an airline.

After more than thirty years of experience teaching thousands of students, we have learned how to quickly evaluate and classify pilots and how best to get important safety concepts across to different personality types. From individual instruction to classrooms and seminars, from FBO's to the airlines, our instructors have taught pilots of all ages and backgrounds: first timers, seasoned commercial airline pilots, retired hobbyists, ambitious teenagers, busy millionaires.

We have trained them on aircraft as varied as the Cessna 172 and the Boeing 727, and we have designed scenario-based instruction methods to improve the pilot's situational awareness and decision making. Other instructors have been glad to send us their problem students, and over the years we have developed a large repertoire of teaching tools to help them find their strengths as pilots.
