Winning
The One Goal Game (posted September
1, 2009)
The
strength & conditioning coach for the Army lacrosse program, Corey
Crane, MA, CSCS, SCCC has designed an exercise program specifically for
lacrosse players called, "Winning The One Goal Game". It
is "a comprehensive 52-week strength and conditioning training
plan to maximize power, speed, agility, strength and endurance for the
sport of lacrosse."
You
can check out Mr. Crane's web site at http://www.lacrosse-strategies.com/,
which has chapter summaries and testimonials of the e-book (a
downloadable book, not a physical product). One can also download
a 'free special report' on the subject of, "How To Effectively
Integrate Power, Speed, Agility, and Conditioning in One Training
Session." The cost of the e-book is $27, which includes
another e-book called "Smoothies for Athletes" and a 30-minute
phone consultation with Corey Crane.
For
more information, check out the 'Physical' drop down option from the
'Skills' menu button to the left.

3rd
Annual Nick Colleluori Lacrosse Classic (posted
August 26, 2009)
The
HEADstrong Foundation is sponsoring the 3rd Annual Nick Colleluori
Lacrosse Classic on October 10th & 11th, 2009 at Ridley High School
in Folsom, PA. The event features 12 Division I teams on Saturday
the 10th, and 8 Division III teams on Sunday the 11th. Proceeds
from the games will go to blood cancer research. Click
here for details.
Nick
Colleluori played lacrosse for Ridley HS and Hofstra Univ. During
his freshman year at Hofstra, he was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's
Lymphoma and lost his battle 14 months later. Nick reached out to
others with the same disease, while fighting the disease himself, and
counseled them so that they would have the same positive outlook that he
himself possessed. It was Nicks' idea to start the HEADstrong
Foundation in order to help those who have been diagnosed with blood
cancers. To read more about Nick and the Foundation, click the
HEADstrong logo found in the Links to the right.
