Plays of the week

Week 4 – October 10

Week 8 – November 7

Hurricanes-

What a great game played by the Hurricanes.  Every player hit well and was making great plays in the field.  The whole team signed our last game ball and gave it to John Khouri as the most improved player of the season.  In our last game, he hit twice for 2 at bats with an RBI and stopped play in the field with a beautiful catch as the cut-off man at second base.

It has been a privilege to coach a team of such terrific kids.   They all clearly love playing baseball.

Thank you to the all my team parents for so much help and for making this a fantastic season!

-Coach Victor.

Knights-
Josh Cooper received the game ball for knocking in the game clinching run w/ an amazing hit! Special recognition goes to Kolby Mullaney for outstanding defense and an incredible performance at the plate! All of the Knights came to play and it showed it was a great team effort! Congratulations to Coach Stormant and the Jags on a great season! They are a great team and it was a great game!

Jags-

Everyone received a signed game ball.  They were all outstanding throughout the year and had a nice rally at the end.  Although we fell short, our kids held their heads high.  I am proud of each and everyone of them.  Also, I would like to tip my hat for the Knights.  They were outstanding and were hitting on all cylinders from start to finish.  Congrats Knights!!

Week 3 – October 3

Hurricanes:  Many Hurricanes earned recognition this week. The two most notable included: Dylan Page who was awarded the game ball for several great defensive plays and 3 for 3 at bat.  Carson Dell'Alba came to bat at the end of the game with the score tied, and two outs already on the board with the winning run on third base.  After two strikes, Carson focused hard on the next pitch, made a great hit and sent home the winning run.  Great game!

Phillies:  With 1 out and the bases loaded in the 2nd inning, and the middle of their order coming up to bat, the Yankees were looking to really break open the game.  Their batter hit a line drive shot up the middle of the field.  Cooper Helton reached out and snagged the ball in the air, then went over and tagged 2nd base for an unassisted double play.  He also tagged the player coming from first base for a '4th' out of the inning.  Congrats to Cooper for an Awesome defensive play!
