| Welcome to the home page of United States Coast Guard Auxiliary 1SR District Flotilla 43 Flotilla 43 is active unit in the 1SR District. Our Area of Operations, AOR, starts at the northern part of the Arthur Kill and extends to all of Raritan Bay. We conduct regular boat safety patrols in this area looking for boaters in need of assistance, conducting a Waterway Watch, and operation Clear Channel for U.S. Coast Guard Sector NY. Our Flotilla was chartered in 1943. We currently have 18 members, 3 operational vessels. In addition, many of our members serve the Division, and District level as staff officers and elected officers. Our Mission : To promote safe boating to everyone interested in recreational boating. We continue to achieve this mission by offering Boating Skills and Seamanship educational classes, Vessel Safety Checks, Waterway Patrols, and Maritime Assistance. These services are offered by fellow boaters who volunteer their time to share their knowledge and experiences with others. Join us, we need your knowledge! We work alongside the active duty Coast Guard in many activities. We also assist with watch standing and administrative duties at Station Sandy Hook.
