Flutes On The Brink 2008-2009 Season
Join us for this first rehearsal, and rehearsals every Monday night, at Mill Creek Parish United Methodist Church, 7101 Horizon Terrace, Derwood, MD, 20855. Map. Rehearsals run 7:30 to 9:00; try to arrive at about 7:15. Park in the back, enter the glass doors, go up the stairs to the choir room at the top of the stairs.
The Sixteenth Annual Columbia Flute Choir Festival sponsored by the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts and Columbia Flute Choir will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 10:00 am - The event is held at Columbia Baptist Church, 103 West Columbia Street, Falls Church, Virginia. Participants in previous years have included Flutes on the Brink, Baltimore Flute Choir, Frederick Flute Choir, The Musical Offering Flute Ensemble, The Woodbridge Flute Choir, the Fauquier Flute Ensemble, and, of course, Columbia Flute Choir. We hope to play at the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair, the annual convention of The Flute Society of Washington. This two-day event will offer concerts, master classes, lectures, reading sessions, and an exhibit hall full of toys.

This March, Flutes on the Brink will sponsor its fifth annual flute choir festival at Mill Creek Parish United Methodist Church, 7101 Horizon Terrace, Derwood, MD, 20855. Map. The festival will involve several flute choirs from the area playing individually and as a group. Join your fellow flutophiles in an afternoon of fluting, socializing, and fun. Times will be announced later. Food will be provided.
Flutes on the Brink will hold its first concert in the heart of Howard County at Vantage House in Columbia. Join us as we perform at this great venue, a not-for-profit retirement facility located on Vantage Point Road, just blocks from the Columbia Mall. Directions and map.
