Some Concerts From Past Seasons
Just before April Fools day, Flutes on the Brink will sponsor its second annual flute choir festival on Saturday, March 31, at Mill Creek Parish United Methodist Church, 7101 Horizon Terrace, Derwood, MD. Map.
Join six flute choirs for an afternoon of fluting, socializing, and fun. Performances start at 2:00, social hour begins at about 4:30. (Doors will open at 1:00 for choirs to assemble and warm up.) Food will be provided.
Join us at the 2007 Mid-Atlandic Flute Fair, the annual convention of The Flute Society of Washington. This two-day event will offer concerts, master classes, lectures, reading sessions, and an exhibit hall full of toys. Flutes on the Brink will be one of four flute choirs performing in the flute choir showcase; FOTB will play at 1:15 on Saturday, February 17.

The Thirteenth Annual Columbia Flute Choir Festival, sponsored by the Columbia Institute of Fine Arts and Columbia Flute Choir, will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 - 10:00 am - The event is held at Columbia Baptist Church, 103 West Columbia Street, Falls Church, Virginia. Participants in previous years have included Flutes on the Brink, Baltimore Flute Choir, Frederick Flute Choir, The Musical Offering Flute Ensemble, The Woodbridge Flute Choir, the Fauquier Flute Ensemble, and, of course, Columbia Flute Choir. Come hear us (and a thousand others) at the Annual Convention of the National Flute Association, being held this year in Pittsburgh. This unequaled gathering of several thousand flute performers, teachers, composers, dealers, and enthusiasts is well worth the trip. We will play in the East Atrium at noon on Sunday. Come hear a full-length FOTB concert at Neelsville Presbyterian Church, 20701 Frederick Rd, Germantown, MD starting at 3:00. Map.

FOTB will join other flute choirs for a concert starting at 7:00 pm. The concert will take place in the Jack Kussmaul Theater, on the Frederick Community College Campus, 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702. Follow 15 north to Motter Avenue exit. Turn right onto Motter/Opossumtown Pike. Travel one mile and turn left at the second entrance to FCC at the light. The building is adjacent to the parking lot. map
