This is believed to be a factory stand. The original finish is believed to a
black wrinkle
paint(actually blue). Again if anyone can confirm this please do. According to the news letters this stand was replaced by a much cheaper metal and wood one around 1937.

Read below about there being a new stand for $2.50 replacing an older version discontinued sometime around 1937. Does anyone have a one of the newer stands?
