Pen Collecting My Parker pens represent the vast majority of my personal collection. One can try to collect everything but I quickly found out that to specialize was the smartest thing to do. Most of my collection consists of Flighters, OK, a lot of Flighters. Some people call me “The Flighter Guy”. I’m always on the lookout for a Flighter that I do not have. I would have been happy with Flighters, but if you collect Parkers then you must have Duofolds because that is what everyone asks about first. So I have managed to put together a fine set of Senior Duofolds as well. I usually take them to pen shows so if you see me ask to see them. Then there came the 75s. The 51 is the best selling pen of all time but the 75 may be technically the best pen ever. The triangular grip combined with an adjustable nib allow for a consistent hit on the paper every time. It’s just my opinion but there hasn’t been much innovation in pens since the 75. |
