Rudy
Our
first born, Regnbuekat's Rollickin' Rudy, was quite a character.
His favorite pasttime was "guarding" the water
bowl, which was a long-standing habit. Occasionally we would throw
in an ice cube to make it interesting. We
referred
to
him
affectionately
as "Old
Man
Rudy". One of his tricks was to pretend he was an Australian Death Adder.
He
would lay motionless, with just the tip of his tail twitching, until he lured
an
unsuspecting
kitten into his grasp. At that point, he would coil himself around his "prey"
and
proceed
with a thorough bunny-kicking.

Kara
Our "Foundation
Dam", Merswood Kara of Regnbuekats, was a brown
classic
tabby & white. Shy and quiet Kara, with her gentle nature,
left us in January, 2006.
She loved my dad, and
sat
on his
lap whenever he would visit.
She seemed oblivious to the fact that my dad didn't like cats! Sadly, my dad
also left us on Christmas Day, 2006. Top of

Emily
Regnbuekat's
Emily was our resident ambassador. This friendly, feisty
torbie & white
mades a bee-line for the door in order to be the first, but
not only one, to greet any newcomers. In her world, there
were no strangers, only people she hadn't met. Even the most
stoic ailurophobe would find it difficult to get past the
Emmy-dog without being coerced into a petting session. Emily
is the granddaughter of Kara & Wednesday, and the mother
of Gallileo.
