Entry Information

Advance registration only - Entry Fee $25, postmarked by Jan 25, 2010. On Jan 26, the fee increases to $30.
US Chess Federation rated tournament, USCF membership is required, available at www.uschess.org.
Credit Card payments accepted through PayPal, see link below. US Mail also accepted, send participant’s Name, Grade, School (for school teams), USCF ID number, Exp Date by email to ForestChess@comcast.net or by US mail.

Sections

K-1 (Grades K-1) --- 5 Round Swiss-style, Game 30
Primary (Grades 2-3) --- 5 Round Swiss-style, Game 30
Elementary (Grades 4-5) --- 5 Round Swiss-Style, Game 35
Jr. High U1000 (Grades 6-8, Under 1000 USCF rating) --- 4 Round Swiss Style, Game 45
Jr. High Open (Grades 6-8, USCF Rating 1000+) --- 4 Round Swiss Style, Game 45. 1000+ Section is open to all players. Players in other sections may request to play up to the 1000+ Section. Otherwise, you will be assigned the section for your grade.

Awards

Top 10 Individual trophies for each section
Top 5 Individuals by grade not Section winners
Top 5 teams (Top 4 players) for each section, The two Jr High sections combined
Best Unrated Player, Biggest Upset in each section in K-1, Primary, Elementary and Jr High U1000
