Christmas in July

On December 20 (the Monday before Christmas), Hysterian Sue and Mother-of-Vice Judy visited Queen Mother Karen and her kindergarten classroom.  QM Karen was expecting Sue to visit to deliver some Christmas goodies to the school, but BOY! was she surprised when she opened the door and there were both Mother-of-Vice Judy and Hysterian Sue in full regalia, including BIG red lips!  The kindergarten children squealed with delight as we entered the room.  And for once, QM Karen was at a loss for words!!

After giving each child a pencil and taking pictures, some of the children started asking, "Can I wear your hat?" or "Can I wear your boa?"  So, of course, we shared our regalia with the children.

Santa was in the building visiting all the classrooms, so Judy and Sue sat on his lap and asked for new red hats for Christmas.  Santa must have thought we were good, because he left LOTS of red hat stuff under our trees on Christmas morning.

After we left, the children asked QM Karen, "Will they come back and kiss us again with those big red lips?"  Judy and Sue agreed on the way home that this visit brought joy not only to the children and Karen, but also to both of us.  Seeing the excitement in the children's eyes was one of our greatest gifts this holiday season.
