Here be, in no particular order (simply by file name), sketches of characters and things etched in my favorite medium: graphite. I don't draw much and so these are the best of my character sketches to date. Yay!
All Nighter - Me! And I still have my contact lenses in. For shame.
Beaten - Alas, poor Genevier. Her sickness probably weakened her during a fight.
Creature - Ahhhh! My pet mutated into some humpbacked, cycloptic beast!
Creature 2 - Every fantasy story needs a cute little animal. Is this it?
Diavisco - The great Mage and Feiora's personal trainer.
Disfigured - THIS is an elf who'll be looking for revenge on her tormentor.
Disguise - Hi, Feiora. Better put the mask back on before someone sees you.
Eileen - A lesbian anthropomorph with a bladed staff weapon. Look out! (She's a lesbian in my story actually. The drawing is of just her, nudity free.)
Expressions - Boy, I wish I would do more of these pages. Different facial expressions.
Expressions 2 - Oh, look! I did do a second one. Now if I would do a third....
Fight - I figure that Phantessa is one of the only people who has ever enraged Vanorra.
Feiora - Feiora in her new magely fighting duds she will receive in Book Two.
Ghostworm - Phantessa reborn!
Hockey - I'm not much of a sports fan, but Go Avs!
Jake - The first ever mangaesque drawing of Jake in his redesigned armor.
Jake Profile - The shadows! Oh my God, the shadows!
Jhodus - The elf who deceives the eye.
Loaded - This character possibly represents my inner self. Say what? I dreamt myself as this (w/ reddish fur). Has no story name yet. Oddly enough, related to same species as Torgos down below.
Razz - Xachaereibahtari speaks his mind. (pronounced "Zak-ary-ba-tari")
Scrutiny - Feiora always investigates a situation with a careful eye and a keen judgement.
Shasta - Romany with an attitude. Now that I've added her to my story as a gypsy character, she's gotta ditch the gun because gypsies are opposed to shedding blood.
Skul - Assassin from the future back to kill little Phantessa.
Samantha - She's an exotic dancer and one of the rare humans able to perform any magic.
The Crew - A moment of relaxation for some of the main characters.
TinCat - A female elven law officer with a warrant for Jake's arrest.
Torgos - One word: annoying.
Trencher's Back - Watch your back, Trencher.
Jake's helmet he wears when in combat as Trencher. The original design long ago was inspired by Dr. Fate, but has progressed far beyond. (B&W... The color version is in my site logo.)
War - Even more annoying, but in a bad way. And about ten feet tall in my story.
Waricon Ajax - Loyal to the core, on the wrong side of the law.
"Fox in Flight": Sketch of Fiora trying out a pair of mechanical wings. [Pencil]
Canker: Inspired by Marvel's mutants, this character is slightly similar to Wolverine, but certainly different. He doesn't have a definite spot yet in my story. As a side note, the Nazi swastikas he wears were simply to portray him as an evil person. In my story now, the Nazis never truly existed so the swastikas will not be used. [Pencil]
Lynkx: One of my earliest characters. Imagine DC Comic's The Flash with ninja-like abilities and weaponry. [Pencil]
Megiddon: This was how Megiddon looked when I first created him in the Robotech roleplaying system. The helmet was inspired by Marvel's original Death's Head. [Pencil]
Death's Head II vs. Carnage: The spin-off Death's Head versus the Venom spawn with Spiderman swinging in from the background. [Ballpoint pen]
Gramp Rider vs. The Hasty Hobbler: A parody of Marvel's Ghost Rider. [Ballpoint pen]
Captain Ultra w/ Cosmic Powers: Once upon a time there was a Marvel character who only ever made one or two appearances with an attitude and brains similar to The Tick. This was my version of him revamped with a new outfit and discovering that he had somehow obtained the Powers Cosmic (highly unlikely, but would have made for a humorous story. I almost sent the idea into Marvel!). [Ballpoint pen and colored pencil]
