2002: There are a few opinions that I have that I don't mind sharing.
For example, I believe that weapons are tools for the weak, the insecure, and the cruel. That's not to say that a person is all three of those things, but those are the three most probable tags that can be given to any person who picks up and uses a weapon. Yes, that even applies to those who hunt animals for sport or food. I don't believe in the need for violence in any shape or form. But alas, I am not a vegetarian. I enjoy eating meat. If someone else has already killed that poor creature, then I might as well not let the meat go to waste. But perhaps there should be a rule that all creatures to be butchered should be caught and killed using only a person's bare hands (ie: the weapons nature supplied them with). That'll show how tough you are better than taking aim and shooting any day.
Another opinion is that I don't believe in divorce. There should be no purpose for such a concept. What is marriage? To have and to hold. To love and to cherish 'til death do you part (and that's not talking about murdering a spouse). Where does divorce fit into wedding vows? I don't recall there being an escape clause like that written in there anywhere. Marriage is supposed to be the joining together of two people who have co-determined that they will happily spend the rest of their natural lives together in the bliss that they know is and always will be there. But unfortunately, I don't think there is a single religion or country in the world where this holds true for every marriage they have. These days, matrimony and alimony go far too much hand in hand. When did they get married?
