BRANCH ELECTIONS:  Nominations and Election for all FRA Branch29 Offices for the 2008/2009 FRA year will be held at the 13 May 2008 General Meeting. All Board of Directors will be nominated and elected. In order to vote you MUST be at the meeting. Nominated at the April General Meeting were, President: Otis Robinson, Vice President: Frank Duncan, and Secretary/Treasure for one year: Michelle Hodges. Installation of the newly elected officers and directors will be @ 1300 Sunday 8 June 2008.

 

BLUESTAR BANNER: Branch 29 sponsored Blue Star Banner Honoring S/M HM1 Kenny Nail is up.  It is mounted on the last pole on the right, just before entering the Naval Station/PSNS at the Charleston Gate.

 

VA BENEFITS SEMINAR:   Sat 10 May Lena Swanson will hold a seminar on VA Benefits 10AM-4PM. All Vets, Spouses invited. If you are planning on attending sign up ahead of time.  A Sign-up sheet is at the Branch.

 

MOTHER’S DAY: Home Port Café will have a Mother’s Day Brunch 9:00AM-1:00PM Sunday 11 May.  If you are planning to have a large group attend, let Heather know ahead of time and she can set up a table for you (377-7300).

 

TEXAS HOLD’em:  Next Texas Hold’em will be Sat 31 May @ Noon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

RECRUITING CONTEST

 

All members, (FRA, LAFRA & SOCIAL) are eligible to recruit as many new members into FRA Branch 29 as

possible.  To be eligible for Prize 1, 2 or 3 you need to recruit a minimum of 10 new members.

 

New Member Definition:

 

Any FRA eligible person who joins Branch 29,

new, re-instated, member-at-large,

or transfers from another Branch qualifies.

 

The Contest runs from 1 Jan thru 30 June 2008

PRIZES:

1st Prize: $200

 

2nd Prize: $100

 

3rd Prize: $50

$25 For anyone who recruits 5 New Members

Only 1 prize person. Prizes awarded in July 2008
