Frank's convoluted story of how he proposed... Thursday was going to be our 4 year anniversary, but according to my mom... it wasn't good based on the lunar calendar. Tuesdays are good for engagements and saturdays are good for weddings... or engagements too.
So I wanted to surprise her on tuesday... but it was kinda hard to coordinate... cause she was training off site that day which meant she could have left early... which she did... so i had to call and be a little nosey... but she kinda got an inkling...
But she ended up doing some errands... so i snuck in and set everything up... I saved $$ by shipping the ring out to Adils place in VA... so i used that money to buy an 19" LCD for carol...
So i had stuck a note on the door... looking like a ransom note... saying i have the dog, if you want to see her again, come in and go to the computer... I was going to send the dog out later.. but the tugs was barking and squirming... so i let her down early... Tugs was dressed up in a vampire cap... I tried to find the brides costume i had seen last year or the year before.. but i couldn't find it.. anyways...
so carol goes to her computer... and i have a power point presentation on her new 19" LCD... featuring Grover from the sesame street... As she clicks thru the slides.. the first two had pictures of the planet Saturn with rings, olympic rings, onion rings, gymnastics rings and lord of the rings... The next set of slides featured will smith, william hung, william shatner, and willy nelson.. Next was a female sheep -- ewe. Then a poster of something about mary, mary poppins and mary lou retton on a wheaties box. Then a picture of Elmo with the words ME!!!! across the top. Next it read OOOPS. Then a picture of ME...
Finally I walked in... and told her to look in the McDonalds Happy Meal. She took the fries out... then the hello kitty toy... going right for the nuggets thinking the ring was in there.. but she only found nuggets. So I told her to look at hello kitty... On the kitty's arm was the ring... I had cut a small slit and slipped it in there... that's why she didn't think the ring was in the hello kitty bag. Finally I took it out and got down on one knee... And I'm sure you can figure out the rest :).
