Why a Website dedicated
to Motorcycling in the Rocky Mountain Region??????
This
is a question I get quite often (mostly from non-motorheads) about why I spend
time and money on publishing and maintaining FranksRacingSystems.com. The answer
is pretty simple. I'm a motorcycle nut and the Rocky Mountain area offers great
opportunities to ride many different kinds of motorcycles, more than any other
place I know of. I have had the experience of living in most of the regions of
the USA and have been lucky enough to ride motorcycles in all of them as well as
a couple of areas of Australia. I can honestly say that although every area I
have ridden in has it's high points, no other place can compare to variety
of riding choices offered in and around the Rocky Mountains.
Whether you like Street, Dirt,
Motocross, Trials, Road Race, or any
other type of motorcycle riding, you can find a place to do it! Close to the
Denver Area you can find 5 Motocross tracks that offer daily practice within an
hour of downtown, twisty back roads that offer spectacular scenery, several road race
venues, many off road trail systems in several of the surrounding national
forests, and MX, Flat Track, Trials, and Road Rides almost every weekend
of the season. You may be limited by cold weather in December through March but
I have always managed to get in a ride every month of the year.
The motorcycling community is
very well accepted in the Rocky Mountain area and is supported by a large dealer
network. It's never hard to find someone to ride with whether you participate in
an organized event or just want to go out for a
enjoyable quick ride. Be prepared for the altitude both mechanically and
physically and you are bound to enjoy yourself. Bike rentals are available and
dropping by the a local motorcycle shop will always provide you with suggestions
and local favorite areas to ride.
So that's why I spend late
nights working on websites and early mornings out on one of my 23 bikes. It's a
great place to ride and I can't imagine a better place to pursue my passion of
motorcycling.
