BackGround:
Brian graduated from West Rome High School in 1990. After graduating from West Rome, he attended Shorter College on an athletic scholarship. While at Shorter, Brian pursued a degree in Business Administration. After graduating from Shorter College, Brian began a career in the insurance industry.

Brian has been employed, in various capacities, for the same Fortune 500 Company for over 11 years. His employment in the corporate environment has allowed Brian to gain critical knowledge in several areas which will benefit the Floyd County Board of Education: negotiations, contracts, finance, and public communications.

Brian’s family:
Brian is married to Lindsey Abrams Barcomb (a Pepperell High School graduate). They have two beautiful daughters, Bailey and Kileigh Barcomb. Brian believes the key to our children becoming successful community members starts at home, with the parents. He works hard to instill the concepts of respect, honesty, and the golden rule into his children each and every day. As parents of one child currently enrolled in public schooling and another child to attend public schooling within the next two years, Lindsey and Brian have a vested stake in the quality of education that our community offers each and every child.
Brian’s family attends First Baptist Church of Lindale. In addition to being active members of their Sunday School class, Brian and Lindsey work with the children of First Baptist Lindale. Brian is the director of the youth t-ball, basketball, and flag football leagues at First Baptist Church Lindale. Brian is also a member of the Hospitality/Welcoming Committee for First Baptist Lindale.
